AWA is wrapping up today, the 21st year for the con. Every year the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and Cobb Galleria in Smyrna, Georgia hosts Anime Weekend Atlanta at the end of September, a con for Japanese culture and anime. This is a great con if you want something smaller that Dragon Con, but with a similar feel. Of course, if you love anime and manga, it’s also a great place for you.
Guests this year included a few anime producers and directors, voice actors, and famous cosplayers. This is a big cosplay event with many impressive costumes and a costume contest. AWA also has anime, manga, cosplay, and Japanese Culture panels.
Another thing I like about AWA is that they you can get $5 food and drink specials at the hotel bars. Cheers to AWA!
