Nintendo’s new console has finally been revealed along with a trailer. The artist formally known as the “NX” will be called Nintendo Switch, both a home and handheld console. The hybrid can be played from the comfort of your couch or on the go… or on a plane, in a field, walking the dog like the guy in the trailer, who seems content to spend the rest of his life playing Zelda. Not exactly sure what this guy’s job is, since he goes from his apartment, then catches a plane, then ends up at another house… oh, I’m getting off topic?
The Switch seems to pack a lot of versatility, applying to many landscapes of gaming. Judging from the sleek/black design of the console and joy-con controllers, Nintendo is looking to compete with PlayStation for a broader reach in consumer.
The console will take cartridges, like the DS. The Switch is set to release in March 2017.
