Kingdom Hearts III
Kingdom Hearts II was released over a decade ago and fans have been waiting for the third installment of the main Kingdom Hearts story for some time. With the release of the trailer last year featuring Toy Story, we should reasonably expect the game sometime this year (though no official date has been set). The game follows Sora, Donald, and Goofy as they venture further into the Square Enix/Disney crossover world. In addition to Toy story, Big Hero 6 and Tangled will also be featured in the game.
Sea of Thieves
Available on Windows and Xbox, the pirate-themed, first-person multiplayer adventure game has built a lot of anticipation. Set to release in March, players make up the crew of a pirate ship and go searching for treasure with clues along the way. Based on the walk-through, the game also involves battles with other ships, surviving storms at sea and exploring islands.
Monster Hunter: World
The newest installment of the Monster Hunter franchise comes out at the end of January. As a Hunter, the player will track down and kill or capture monsters outside of Astera. The players skills are defined by the weapons they carry and rank up as they destroy the monsters. This game will improve the monster’s ecosystem and add features to help players, like mantles and Scoutflies.
Vampyr
As Jonathan E. Reid, a doctor turned vampire, players make their way through the disease-ridden streets of London in the early 1900s. As a doctor Reid’s desires to help people, as a vampire he craves blood- it is up to the player to determine who he kills or keeps alive, ultimately deciding the fate of the game. This action-RPG will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and Windows.
Code Vein
Coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 sometime this year from Bandai Namco, this RPG is heavy on the action. This game is set in a stylized post-apocalyptic dystopia where Revenants called Vein seek blood and power in exchange for their memories. This one is for the anime fans and has been compared to Dark Souls.
