Lonescapade: Perusing Metro-Atlanta’s Japanese Grocery Store

Always on the hunt for Japanese novelty items around Atlanta, I recently discovered Tomato Japanese Food Grocery, via some internet exploration, just outside of the city. It’s a small mom-and-pop, but with an exciting selection of Japanese food items. Tomato provides some rare treats, like green tea waffle-cone ice-cream sandwiches, red bean mochi, and sushi-ready fish cuts, along with your standard Pocky and Kit-Kat varieties.

Tomato: 2359 Windy Hill Rd SE #250, Marietta, GA 30067

Ramen varieties galore!

Pokemon drink pouches

Rice Cakes with assorted fillings

Tomato also has a section of non-food Japanese items, like bowls, chopsticks, and gifts.

I left with a small assortment of food, a can of coffee, and a melon soda. This red bean mochi was delicious:

  1. That all looks so awesome! I wish there was a Japanese grocer near by where I live. The closest thing we have to getting any international food is Superstore and their international aisle haha.
