Fernbank Museum of Natural History
Fernbank is Atlanta’s resident science museum with exhibits both informative and entertaining. I went to this museum just last week to attend Fernbank After Dark, an adults-only event that takes place once a month throughout the summer. It was a really fun time and I had the chance to see their current exhibits, including “Wild Weather” and the Dinosaur plaza. Look out for “Gladiators: Heroes of the Colosseum” coming Fall 2018. You can also see 2D and 3D documentaries with daily showtimes in the new Giant Screen Theater.

The Plaza is a movie theater with historical significants as Atlanta’s “longest continuously operating movie theatre”, built in 1939. Today this small theater plays both new indie films and cult classics. I saw Sailor Moon R at the Plaza just a few months ago. Come out any Friday at midnight to do the time warp and watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
