I’m getting very excited for the Christmas day release of Into the Woods, the upcoming Disney musical. The other day I watched the recorded ’80’s Broadway version staring Bernadette Peters. At first a bit worried it might spoil the film, it actually made me that much more excited. Unlike some, I think this is a musical that would do well to be adapted into a movie, bringing to life the many fantasy elements… like giants.
Two songs from the movie (sung by Anna Kendrick and Meryl Streep) have finally been released (not sure what they’re waiting for with the rest). Have a listen:
